What a great question to be asked! Will you come and photograph my marriage proposal to my girlfriend? It’s going to be at Castle Acre Priory and I’m going to go down on one knee under the main arch? Needless to say, I was there. And this was the result. Thanks Dan and Liza, for asking me…
It was a real blast photographing the Vegas themed party that the lovely Laura had put on (in secret) for partner Damon. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few times before for Laura and her family and it has to be said, she throws a great party! Showgirls, fun gaming tables, cardboard Elvises – you name it, this party had it. And the guests… well, the guests…
Having photographed Roman’s first birthday a while ago, I was delighted to be asked back to photograph for his baby sister, Minna, who was now also a one year old. Minna’s Mum and Dad, Laura and Damon, put on such a lovely afternoon and there were loads of beautiful families at the party so it was a really fun time blessed with great weather. And the venue, a new one to me, Warham Reading Rooms, was a delight to work in.
A family in the making… Neil and Kristine celebrated the upcoming birth of their first baby by coming to the studio for a very relaxed maternity shoot. It was in fact a gift for them from Kristine’s sister, who bought a KOP gift voucher for them. We had a lovely time and got some fabulous pictures which I know they’ll treasure.
I had the real pleasure at the end of last year of photographing the beautiful Amy for a calendar that she wanted to give to her new hubby Mick for Christmas – Mick’s Man Cave Calendar! We worked together through the shots that Amy wanted, some of which we made up ourselves and some where we used existing images from books that Amy and I both liked as a starting point. It took a few hours to get it right (and Amy worked very hard!) but I am assured that the final product was very much to Mick’s liking! Also, and for me equally importantly, Amy tells me she loved it too. It was a pleasure to work on because it meant so much to them both. Whilst not typical, it was actually true ‘family’ photography (which is where I’ve filed this post), because of the love that went into it. Thanks Amy for the opportunity of shooting you (so to speak!). The two shots featured are (respectively) mine and Amy’s favourites!
If anyone out there wants me to work with them on a similar project, please do get in touch – I’m all ears!
It’s always a pleasure when Chloe calls and asks if she can have some more photos! She is fun and full of joy, and her family are lovely, so it’s more a case of just joining in with them than actually working. This time I met her two sons, Avi and Leo, as well as her grandchildren and the dynamic of having a large group was just fab!
Roman had a cracking first birthday party at Binham Village Hall. Loads of guests (big and small), bouncy castles, huge play area and lots of cake! His Mum Laura had asked me to come along and take some pictures to commemorate the occasion, which I was really happy to do. Here are just a small selection from the afternoon.
